Hello all - hope you are having a great Memorial Day weekend. Very unseasonable weather here - yesterday we had thunder & Lightening, about 1/2 inch of rain, and really chilly temperatures. Tomorrow it is supposed to be in the low 90’s!!! Well, that’s good for spending some time outdoors and grilling on the BBQ. But don’t forget to get in your bids on the stamp auctions closing on Sunday evening.
We have 23 stamp auctions coming to a close tomorrow night. The highlight is Scott 121, a very nice looking example of the 30 cent stamp from the pictorial issue of 1869. You’ll also find a few Trans-Mississippir issues, some from the Panama-Pacific Exposition, Louisiana Purchase, Jamestown, and Hudson-Fulton. There is a mix of mint and used stamps up for bid.
Our stock was running low for the following week, so you’ll only see 10 auctions listed next week. However, we did purchase a $2,500 lot this week and hope to have it delivered in time to put out some nice listings for the upcoming weeks. There are a lot of mint singles, many, many with attached plate numbers. Stay tuned….
