Hi Folks - autumn was short-lived here in the eastern Sacramento Valley - we’re having daytime highs in the low-mid 90’s. Not a lot of fun to do any exercise outdoors or to do any woodworking in my non-air conditioned garage. I guess the positive thing about it is that I can devote more time to eBay stamp selling.
Not a stellar week for my selling: had a stamp returned last week that clearly was NOT hinged but the buyer claimed it was. Refunded his money, paid for return shipping, and will be re-listing the stamp this coming week. Also have another one coming back that was advertised as never hinged but the buyer said he got a hinged stamp. That one has not yet been returned to me, and I’m very interested to see if I screwed up or if this is like that other one. Ughhh…
Well, tomorrow (Sunday, Sept 23) we’ve got 26 stamp auctions coming to a close. quite a diverse mix of items here. You’ll find 19th century classics like Scott 9, 73, 76, 69, 98, 90, 93, 71, 14, 155 and more. There are also some real nice early 20th century items, too. Look for Scott 510-512 (NH), 569 (NH), plate blocks of Scott 629, 651, and C8. There is also a badly mis-perforated plate number block of six of Scott 499, In the back of the book area, we’re offering a nice never hinged C18, and a Scott K14 with no gum.
Good luck with your bidding!
