Hello and welcome to this week’s entry. We’ve been pounded with heavy rain here for the past three days - many locations getting record 24-hour amounts. Parts of the Sierras east of us got over four feet of snow! So, as planned we are heading up to Lake Tahoe later this afternoon for the weekend. Roads look pretty clear, but I’m expecting heavy traffic due to the three day holiday weekend. Ughhh…..
This Sunday we have 26 stamp auctions coming to a close. Lots of nice classics for you to select. Some examples are: Scott 17, 89, 98, 240, 281, 208, 182, 152, 190, 215, 9, 24, 116. There are also several mint Columbians, three of which have attached plate numbers and/or imprints. You’ll also find a nice group of the Trans-Mississippi used stamps, and a group of six used Bank Notes. Lastly, look for Scott 59L2, a local post stamp: "Douglas’ City Despatch”.
So - good luck with your bidding and get prepared for that big storm that left California last night - it’s coming your way!!!
