Need to let you readers know about a change to our shipping fee structure. Over the past seven months, the post office has managed to loose several of my first class mail envelopes. Maybe someone decided to steal them, as I’ve been using nice colorful commemoratives as postage. Anyway, since I’ve no choice but to refund the buyer’s money, I’ve lost upwards of $100 on these stolen items. Not cool.
So, I’m gonna try a different approach. I wish I could send everything out in a First Class Package envelope, but they run anywhere from $2.50 to $3.15 per shipment. I can’t afford to offer free shipping on all orders like Amazon. Starting with the auctions that close next Sunday, 7/28, here is the new structure:
Total purchase price from $1.50 - $25 goes out in a standard first class envelope and you pay $1.25 for shipping. No tracking number.
Total purchase price of $25 - $99 goes out as a First Class Package, with a tracking number. You pay $3.
Total purchase price of $100 and over - Free shipping and you get a Frist Class Package, insured for the purchase price.
While this does come as an increase for some shipments, you, the buyer, will have your stamps delivered a bit faster, and you’ll have a tracking number, which should help stop my shipments from being stolen. As a side note, I have NEVER had a First Class Package disappear, and there have literally been thousands of them sent out over the past few years.
